The Science

Our devices at the Denver Zen Den create several state changes in the body and in the mind.

Vibro-acoustic therapy, which uses sound and vibration, stimulates the polyvagal nerve, allowing it to down-regulate into a more parasympathetic state. This nervous system reset can have the benefits of stress reduction, better sleep, increased resilience, and much more.

This is paired with a Stroboscopic Light, which creates a shift in the brainwave state. By activating the Hypnogonic state in the brain, the mental activity can often shift into a slower and more receptive wavelength such as Alpha & Theta.

Alpha Waves are known for their relaxing, intuitive, and creative qualities. Theta Waves are associated with healing and super-learning. The benefits of going into these states of awareness are enhanced creativity, insight and intuition, lucid dreaming, and other valuable effects.
